What I've Read Today
Monday, 6th July 2009, 9 am until 12 pm I have attended to Mr. Wan Burhanuddin’s class. He had gave us a briefing about Reading and Documenting. He also is explaining about how does is it works. To be a great architect, I should learn on how the important process should be going on through such as, make a document, communicate with people, design and construct a model and apply it all to produce a building as a product.
Usually we should hold the WH questions: what, when, where etc. Same goes as producing a document. Let say if I want to bake a nice, sweet and delicious cake. There must be a source that I can refer on to such as I should refer to the book, chef or my mother. Then, I should have a kitchen. There is also another thing I should have, that is the ingredients and the equipments of baking a cake.
I can conclude that, there are 6 elements of productions that can be rely on that is: intention, act, rules, actor, sites and product. According to them, I as a student must have an intention to be an intelligent architect. I should study smart to gain knowledge in this university. Knowing my target is the important, but there is some rule that I must follow like rules in campus, obey what the lecturer and parent says, etc.
My Big Bang!
Thursday, 9th July 2009, I have joined the HBP netball team. Our team called Allahuakbar. It sound weird, but I don't bother it. We had a match with our senior and lecturer. Our first round, we met Master Landscape Team, second, Master Planning Team, and lastly, Committee Team. In our first and second match are quite easy to beat them because they didn't have any experience of playing this game. But when we met Committee Team it's hard to beat them, because some of them are the real netball player. We lose, but it's a good game. I've enjoy it. |  |
 | Friday, 10th July, 5pm we have a match, futsal, with lecturers and seniors but i didn't joined the game. I'm just watched the game.  |
On that night, we have divided into groups. I'm in the 5th group. We should build a sculpture and present it. What, why and how was what we have to explain. |  |
 | Saturday, 11th July, 9am, we have to build a gadet that can't break an egg. The objective is to maintain the sustainable in build a gadjet. The material given is drinking straw, cellophone tape, an egg, a plastic bag and a rope. We have to build in 1 hour. But in the end of that the competition, we losed it. Never mind... Got other game some more.
That night we have an explore race. A lot of obstacle we gone through and that night was raining. But at the end of that game we won. |
Sunday, 12th July, 1030am, we have a short speech with senior, Paan. He tell a story about the life in HBP and his experience lived in the USM along 3 years. After that, we have given a task. We have to present art performance or just act. The Theme is about transformation. |  |
That night, we have a grand dinner with seniors, lecturers and all my friends in HBP. Theme of the dinner was masquerade. We should wear a mask along that dinner.  At the begining of the dinner, our group have to perform a show. And I was play a traditional dancer. The senior performed a few song for the ending of the dinner.  |   |
The Mask
This project is about the layer. In this project we should do about the mask of ourselves which we are able to wear in 3 times. Firstly in our submission of the project to our studio master, Wan B, second and third occasions are in our studio exhibition. So, in this project we have to make a nice, fit, and solid so that the mask cannot be fragile. We have to do in a pair or more. I have cooperated with my friends, Hanisah & Nadia.
The mask must be make is exactly just like our face: the texture, the color, and the size. Before we build our mask, we found that flour and tissues paper is the best ingredient in making our mask.
1. We was sprayed the water in the two sheets of tissue papers. The tissues were not too wet.
2. Then, the tissues were put on all over my face.
3. We put ingredient: flour + water on the wet tissues.
4. On top of the ingredient, we put the small tare tissues on it.
5. Then, we continue the same procedure 3 and 4 until the layer become thick (about 3 layers of the tare tissues).
6. We leaved it to dry in about 1 day.
7. On that tomorrow night, we were painted it in our color skin.
8. We were leaved it on the dry in 1 hour. Then, we are done!
